Is Digital Strategy Ever Set In Stone?
Our innovation at GoKart Labs comes two-fold: creating something that disrupts current norms while absorbing technological bubbles.
The thought of how we do that led to a question I hadn’t thought about much. “How can we ensure trends won’t affect our clients down the road?” We are a digital firm after all.

Roger Von Oech’s Creative Whack Pack relates the story of an architect charged with creating a campus of buildings. Long story short, the architect created the buildings first then observed where people chose to walk.
Six months later, sidewalks replaced the worn paths.
Since I heard this story second hand, I tasked myself with finding the original source. A simple Google search led me to several conversations around the fable, most I believed to be misguided conversations.
Whether an architect would be given reign to deliver an unfinished project seems unlikely. However the story represents a modern dilemma technology poses, causing constant disruption.
Brand identity is stronger than ever. However brand loyalty is becoming less prevalent. So how does one plan for a population so unpredictable?
Answer - Adapt your strategy to expect people to create paths. Expect the unexpected.
Trust your audience to guide you in the right direction and reap the rewards. Keeping it transparent shows consumers openness and creativity while making life easier.
Isn’t that what technology is based on?
